Volume button: Used to increase or decrease your device sound.
Power button: Used to Turn on/off, Restart or Lock your device when not in use.
Touch Surface: Used to control all installed applications and additional device functions e.g. Settings
Menu/Options: Used to open a particulr menu or additional options for a specific app or function.
Back button: Used to move back to a previous screen or page on an app or interface e.g. Settings options.
Home button: Used to exit from any application or function to home screen.
When pressed for 5 seconds can also call up running apps or previously used apps.
Touch Screen Controls

Status Bar: Displays active services, Active apps, error statuses and notifications. When dragged down it allows you to view or change statuses.
Apps Menu Icon: Opens up list of active and installed applications.
Message Icon: Short cut to SMS messages.
Dailing Icon: Opens up dailing pad, allowing you to make calls or dail interactive message responsive services better known as USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data)
Settings Icon: Opens up settings menu (Can optionally be added to home screen)
You also have the option to add your mezzanine app to your home screen.
Play Store Icon: Opens up play store where you can download your mezzanine application.
|Touch Screen Controls: Status Bar||
Tap and hold your index finger on the status bar.
While still holding your finger on the screen drag your status bar to the bottom of your screen.
You should now see your active and in active statuses. When a status is grey out it indicates that it is off, when green it indicates that it is on.
Touch the GPS icon to turn it on.
The GPS icon should now be green.
Press and drag your finger from the right to the left of the screen.
You should now see the Mobile data icon.
Touch the Mobile data icon to turn it on.
|Touch Screen Controls: Unlocking your Device||
When you do not see your home screen, but instead see the time, date and the message "Swipe screen to unlock" it means that your phone locked it itself to secure your apps and to save energy.
To unlock your phone and simply swipe your finger across the screen.
If the screen appears to be off, simply press the home button and the locked screen will then appear.
Predictive Text Settings

Predictive text guesses the word you are busy typing. You will see three options appear in the bar above the keypad.
You can select any of the three options.
The phone will automatically select the word in blue (middle) when you press space.
When using business apps you may generally use terms or acronyms that is industry or role specific which might not be found programmed in the language settings of your everyday technology.
You might therefore find that having predictive text on frustrating because it tends to predict and select incorrect words/terms.
We therefore advice our clients to turn off predictive text when using business applications.

Tap on the App Menu Icon.
Find and tap on the "Settings" Icon.
Tap on "My device".
Press and drag your screen upwards to see additional options.
Tap on "Language and input".
Tap on the settings icon next to "Samsung keyboard".
Press and drag the green button next to Predictive text to the left to turn it off.
The button should now be grey and contain an 'o' inside.
